Under-Couch Toy Blocker 🐾 My dog Anna kept losing her toys under the couch, so I designed these to close the gap. Each section presses in gently between the floor and the front edge of the couch and helps stop toys from rolling under. 🟩 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗧 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 ▸ 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝘁 — The curved face flexes, so a section compresses lightly between the floor and the couch and stays put. ▸ 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 — The cutouts let air keep moving under the couch, and give a floor HVAC vent under there an outlet. ▸ 𝗦𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗲-𝗜𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 — A connector slides into the bottom of two sections and joins them into one run. ▸ 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 — The standard one butts the sections together. The wide one spaces them 1 in apart, to save a little filament. ▸ 𝗔𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 — Each section is 9 in long. Connect as many as you need to span the front of your couch. 🟩 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗙𝗜𝗧 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 ▸ Each section is 229mm (9 in) long, 88mm (about 3.5 in) tall and 76mm (3 in) deep at the base. ▸ Measure the gap under your couch before you print. The section is made to compress a little, so it suits a gap slightly under its 88mm height. ▸ 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗮𝗽? — Scale the section in your slicer to fit, and scale the connector by the same factor so the two still slide together. ▸ 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 — It is a 40mm slice of a section. Slide it under the couch to check the fit, or your scale, before you print a full one. ▸ A section prints standing on end, so your printer needs 229mm of Z height. 🟩 𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗦 ▸ 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝘁 — I added small stick-on rubber feet (not included) to help keep it from sliding on the floor. ▸ 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 — Mine are PLA. PET-G is a bit more flexible and handles warm air better if a heating vent blows under your couch in winter. ▸ 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱 — I have not needed it, but you could put hook-and-loop tape under the couch and mount a section upside down, with its base against the couch. 🟩 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗦𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 No supports required · 8mm brim · 0.20mm layer height · 5 walls · 10% gyroid infill · PLA ▸ 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝟵 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — 9h 14m and 157g. ▸ 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 — 52m and 21g. ▸ 𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 — 1h 2m and 30g. ▸ 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 — 1h 29m and 30g. Each part has its own 3MF, and one 3MF carries all four plates. Sliced for a Creality Hi. 🐾
